Advances in radionuclide therapies
The following lecture will discuss the progress made in radionuclide therapy. Basically, in this therapy, the patient is given radioactive substances from nuclear medicine, which accumulate in certain tissues (e. g. tumour tissue) and eliminate cells there. This therapy can be used for a wide variety of diseases. It is often used for cancer, but it also fulfils its function in the case of benign changes.
